Meet the farmers

From origin to roastery

It Starts at the farm Long Before The Roast

Great coffee does not begin with a roaster. It begins with soil, climate, patience and careful hands . Every coffee has travelled a long way before it reaches a Jamie's tea cup, and the work carried out at origin shapes everything that follows.

Meet the hands behind the harvest

Coffee Is Grown Before It Is Crafted

Behind every bag of coffee is months of work that most of us never see. Coffee trees need time. Cherries mature gradually. Harvests are shaped by rainfall, temperature, elevation, soil and the decisions made every day by the people caring for the crop.

Harvesting is only the beginning. The fruit must then be processed, dried and prepared carefully before the green coffee can begin its journey toward roasting.

At Jamie's tea, we believe that roasting should  respect the work already invested in the bean . The roaster is not where the story starts — it is simply the next chapter.

Farm To morning cup

01 · Grow

Cultivation

Coffee trees develop slowly, responding to their climate, surrounding landscape and careful cultivation.

02 · Pick

Harvest

Ripe coffee cherries are gathered during harvest when the fruit has reached the stage needed for processing.

03 · Process

Processing

The fruit is processed and the coffee carefully dried, helping preserve the character developed at origin.

04 · Roast

Roasting

Heat develops the aromas and flavours already held within the coffee, transforming green beans into the roast you recognise.

05 · Brew

Your Cup

The final step happens at home: grind, water, time and one quiet moment to enjoy everything that came before it.

More than a place on a map

Why Origin Matters

Coffee carries something of the place where it was grown. Climate, soil, variety and processing can all influence what eventually appears in the cup.

That is why good roasting begins with respect for the raw ingredient rather than trying to make every coffee taste the same.

  • Climate and growing conditions influence how coffee cherries develop.
  • Harvest timing and processing affect clarity, sweetness, body and character.
  • Care after harvest helps protect the quality already created at the farm.

The next chapter

From Careful Growing To Careful Roasting

By the time green coffee reaches the roastery, countless decisions have already shaped it. Our philosophy is simple: treat that work with respect. Thoughtful roasting allows each coffee's natural character to remain part of the experience instead of disappearing beneath the roast.
